How are you? Surviving winter? My hands and face are so dry and starting to peel. I’m ready for some sunshine. Or at least a good moisturizer! Any suggestions for me?
Hope your weekend is full of fun plans and maybe a good book.
What we are reading this week:
Margaret (6): The My Weird School series. Non-stop. Every day.
Gus (7): Stephan Pastis’s Pearls Before Swine Comics.
Jack (10): The Witch of Blackbird Pond (school) and The Janitor’s Boy by Andrew Clements (fun).
Me: Nothing good. A lot of middle grade books that I quit on half-way through.
Here’s a few things I wanted to share:
I’ve been listening to this podcast. Light and girly fun, with some great beauty and skincare tips thrown in.
Do you like rom-coms? I read the The Hating Game by Sally Thorne last year and it is the perfect book for rom-com fans. It’s a workplace romance about office arch-enemies who – yes, you guessed it – fall in love. The author, Sally Thorne, has a new book out on Tuesday and I’m excited to read it.
A good essay about marriage. (NYT)
Are you planning on watching the Super Bowl? Are your kids into it? Here are some great books for kids about football.
A teach-your-child to read hack.
A cute home-made valentine.
I look ever-so-slightly homeless and disheveled in this winter coat – but it’s warm as all get-out. #notafashionblogger
Are you horrified by how much time you spend on your phone? I am.
Happy Friday! Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
