Years ago, I started making photo books of our extended family vacation. The books made great Christmas gifts. But it seemed like they were flipped through and then put on a shelf? I wanted something we would “use” more.
So I started making photo books that were more like stories that we could read to our kids at night.
Our kids LOVED seeing photos of their grandparents and cousins (and themselves!). And they loved that the books were like stories. They still read them all the time.
Each year, I made a book with a different “story”: An ABC book, a counting book, a Dr. Seuss themed-book. This year – I did a Mo Willems book – as we have several new readers in the family.
My favorite one to make was the ABC book.
To make the books, I created the pages in Photoshop and then uploaded them to Shutterfly. There are blank Shutterfly templates available here.
These mini photo books are cute too…and look just like board books. Perfect for a baby/toddler/preschooler!
